Description

Kymatoligi is a 14-meter-long, 4-meter-wide vessel, thoughtfully designed to offer both comfort and functionality. Approximately one-third of the boat can be separated by internal doors, providing flexibility based on your needs. The 12-square-meter interior features the captain’s navigation area, a small bar with a fridge, comfortable seating, and two restrooms. Additional seating is available at the rear, along with a platform for easy embarkation, disembarkation, or access to the sea during our tours. A barbecue is also available for special events. The upper deck offers additional seating with small tables, allowing guests to enjoy the surrounding views in comfort. We take pride in maintaining Kymatoligi in excellent condition, ensuring a pleasant experience whether you are relaxing on the lower deck or enjoying the fresh air above. Kymatoligi can accommodate between 65 and 75 passengers, depending on the nature and distance of each trip. The vessel cruises at a conventional speed of 25 knots and can reach speeds of over 35 knots. It is fully equipped with modern safety systems and features monitors connected to the GPS navigator, displaying the route and providing information about the destinations along the way.

The island tour starts in the morning until early evening and you will get to see the explicit shoreline of Hydra. There are several stops at wonderful spots around the island for swimming and sightseeing. The locations and the time spent on each beach, depends on our guests’ preferences.

Kontylenia Vlachodimitri is a dedicated music and piano teacher who spends the school year in the classroom and the summers helping with the family business on Hydra. Known for her reliability, attention to detail, and calm presence, she makes sure everything runs smoothly and that every guest feels genuinely welcomed.

Stamatis Vlachodimitris grew up in a home where music and the sea were part of everyday life. With advanced studies in music and a PhD currently underway in the United States, he brings a thoughtful, creative spirit to everything he does. Every summer, he returns to Hydra to support the family’s work, continuing the bond he built as a boy while helping his father on the boat. His quiet dedication and artistic perspective add a distinct touch to every part of the experience.
Giola Vlachodimitri, also born and raised in Hydra, brings her own legacy of maritime life and hospitality. Her father worked as a professional cook on ships, inspiring her love both for the sea and for cooking. She has worked extensively as a restaurant manager on the island and is now runs the bar on board, where everything is made with a homemade touch and motherly care. Her warm and generous spirit reflects the essence of Greek hospitality. Her love for classical and jazz music is another part of the family culture she has passed on to her children.
George Vlachodimitris, the founder, was born into a seafaring family and has been involved in maritime and touristic activities for more than 40 years. His father worked as a professional fisherman during the winter and transported visitors around the island during the summer, making the sea a natural part of George’s everyday life. From a young age, George was surrounded by boats and the sea, a way of life he has continued with passion and dedication. Even while working as a primary school teacher, he never gave up his nautical activities. Over the years, he has captained and owned four different boats, serving a wide range of purposes from transporting passengers and goods to providing leisure cruises. His attention to detail and pride in maintaining his boats have made them known for their character, comfort, and reliability. Beyond his work, he is also passionate about music, which continues to be an important part of his life.
